We discussed at BlizzCon that we would like to implement an itemrack feature in the default User Interface which will make item swapping easier. But having gear take up bag/bank slots is intentional as we want players to have to think about what items they keep and not hoard everything.
Well this almost makes no sense at all. Why then would you add various encounters that require very specific gearing (resist fights for example). Now I know they add an additional element to the encounter which is great and all but with this comes another 6+ pieces of gear that are necessary and unable to be vendored/disenchanted/destroyed if you wish to continue doing the encounter.
Take the warrior class, you have MS gear, Fury gear, Tanking gear, various resist gear, Stam oriented tanking, mitigation gear, and the list goes on and on. Bag space is not something that is working as intended from my perspective. Potions, flasks, food, bandages, gear for several differing encounters (in on raid) all add up and create the problem that many of us are currently facing.
I could go on and rant but I think there are plenty of us out there that see this as a problem that needs to fixed in the expansion at the latest. It's a problem now, it was a problem pre-tbc, and I promise you it will continue to be a problem in the upcoming expansion.
Possessing a narrow minded view is not helpful as your comment suggests. I understand that you don't want people keeping everything, but open your eyes just a touch....adding a little extra bag/bank space will not "kill" the game I promise you this much.
P.S. Making the larger bags extremely costly is also not needed.....Full 20's put a dent in my piggy bank.
